Examples of this practice include studies by Bhattacharya et al [10] and Cherian et al [22] that recognized 23 and 8 different activities, respectively, and covered a range of everyday activities. Exceptions to this pattern include Akther et al [17] who focused on assessing how thoroughly the user brushed their teeth and Mondol et al [51] and Santos-Gago et al [53] whose work focused on identifying hand-washing behaviors that are compliant with the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.
