Exploring Ethics: Understanding the Role of Privacy Policies and Institutional Review Boards in Digital Health Companies

Exploring Ethics: Understanding the Role of Privacy Policies and Institutional Review Boards in Digital Health Companies

Although a privacy policy that clearly outlines information on using data for research can suffice for consent in some cases, IRB approval is still necessary for publishing in peer-reviewed journals; this is for maintaining compliance with privacy protection laws, like the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and ensuring rigorous ethical oversight (as further detailed in the Institutional Review Boards section).

Power-Assist Add-Ons for Older Adult Manual Wheelchair Users: Protocol for a Scoping Review

In phase 1, we will conduct a search of electronic databases (Multimedia Appendix 1), proceedings, and symposia for relevant titles and abstracts using a set of keywords. The keywords are generated from suggestions from team members; mining with Ovid Search Builder, Ovid Citation Analyzer, Medline, Pub Med Pub Re Miner; and through mining within texts. We have identified the main concepts in this scoping review and generated a list of keywords for each concept.

Context-Contingent Privacy Concerns and Exploration of the Privacy Paradox in the Age of AI, Augmented Reality, Big Data, and the Internet of Things: Systematic Review

Context-Contingent Privacy Concerns and Exploration of the Privacy Paradox in the Age of AI, Augmented Reality, Big Data, and the Internet of Things: Systematic Review

A systematic literature search was conducted using electronic databases to minimize biases and selection errors associated with manual search queries [76]. The chosen databases, Science Direct (Elsevier), SAGE, and EBSCO served as the primary sources for the search, given their advanced search capabilities and extensive collections of scientific articles in pertinent fields, such as business, psychology, and IT, spanning several decades.

Toward Interoperable Digital Medication Records on Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources: Development and Technical Validation of a Minimal Core Dataset

As a result, medication errors and adverse drug events related to unintended medication discrepancies in electronic health records (EHR) are still a major public health problem and are listed unsurprisingly among the top 10 health technology hazards for 2020 by the Emergency Care Research Institute [9-11].

Peer Review of “Levels and Predictors of Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Regarding Contraception Among Female TV Studies Undergraduates in Nigeria: Cross-Sectional Study”

Peer Review of “Levels and Predictors of Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Regarding Contraception Among Female TV Studies Undergraduates in Nigeria: Cross-Sectional Study”

I have the following comments and observations for improving your manuscript for consideration of publishing. Introduction: line 50: “youth”: Indicate age group. Line 52: “Utilization is higher”: Not clear what the utilization was for. Study population: limitation: gender biased. Male involvement and attitude are equally important regarding sexually transmitted infections, particularly for male methods like use of condoms. This needs to be mentioned as a limitation of the study.

Evaluating the Content and Quality of Videos Related to Hypertrophic Scarring on TikTok in China: Cross-Sectional Study

Evaluating the Content and Quality of Videos Related to Hypertrophic Scarring on TikTok in China: Cross-Sectional Study

For example, some uploaders may not be the video’s actual creators or information providers but may only participate in video publishing. This uncertainty may affect the accuracy of JAMA’s benchmark “authorship” score, potentially leading to bias in research results. Fifth, there are inherent issues with viewing Tik Tok as a platform for disseminating health information. Tik Tok’s recommendation algorithm tends to push videos that easily attract attention rather than the most scientifically sound ones.
